    The Zodiac Lounge
Each Wednesday the back lounge of Tomato Night Club on Harcourt St is transformed into the Zodiac Lounge. Inspired by the vibes of the “DA Club” the Zodiac Lounge hopes to recreate a mid-week vibe in Dublin and help rejuvenate the live scene. Each week we promise to deliver the very best from the stable of Irelands bands and singer songwriters in an informal acoustic setting. To date we have had the pleasure of hosting the following acts; Mundy, Subrosa, Wilco, Sack, La Rocca, #Kingsativa, Nina Hynes & Ronan Byrne Turn, Melaton, Colm Quearney & Harvey Stone. May’s schedule is lining up to be of equal calibre, so come on down to the Zodiac Lounge each Wednesday and see it for yourself.

1999 followed the trend, with the band taking first place in the 2FM/Eurodisney Band of the Year ,in March, as part of the Celtic Festival in Paris, France. April saw bran'do headling their first national tour in Ireland. An IMRO showcase in London followed in June to perform for various UK record companies and publishing houses.

    HI RISE

Hi-Rise with their strange loops and in-your-face lyrical attitude have already twanged a few heart strings downtown...sometimes introspective, harsh and bearing souls on the sleeves of their well tailored clobber...Hi-rise at last might provide yet another something to look forward to when we think of Eire's live musical output...Music style:psychedelic SoulArtist history:Donna Mc Cabe [ lead vocals ], Andrew "Rooster" Rooney [Guitar, Loops ], Des Bracken [ TV show, Bass ] and not forgetting Anthony Patterson [ Drums ] are the 4 piece in question but this time they've teamed up with Aidan kelly [ Dj, Super monkey ] and Robbie sexton [ Blink ] as PLASTIC GLASS to do this remix of "Love rash".
Group members:Donna says.."Hi-rise are proof positive that quality modern music is a subtle collusion between old sounds and new. Catchy samples and melodic loops that at times delve into hard, abstract grooves..."The band release the this remix on their own CD and 12 inch soon and are working on new material for touring the uk / London...and the States in September, their first album will be ready early next year...Here is a selection of their work...Albums:The Cinnamon Graham Sessions (EP)
