Name you most favourite cheezy yet great pop single that was a hit. If it was a one hit wonder all the better, mine woud have to be a toss up between Joe Dolce "Shuttup-a-your-face" or
    Landscapes Einsteins A Go-Go

Go West - The village People.

For real cheese, I think a song has to be deliberatly bad, surely ruling out the muck raking Sweet Caroline. It is only countless wedding DJ's and bad LCD club that have made it so cheesy to our ears, rather than just plain awful.

Thats The Clapping Song by Aaron Carter

    Full lyrics
    Three six nine
    The goose drank wine
The monkey chew tobacco on the streetcar line
The line broke, the monkey got choked
And they all went to heaven in a little rowboat

Clap clap, Clap clap, Clap clap, Clap clap,
    Clap clap! Clap your hand...
Pat it on your partner hand... right hand
    Clap Pat! Clap your hand...
Cross it with your left arm
    Pat your partner left palm
    Clap Pat! Clap your hand...
    Pat your partner right palm
    Clap Slap! Clap your hand...
Slap your thigh and sing a little song

My mama told me if I was lucky
    That she would treat me
    If I was goody
My Aunty told her, I shoulda told her
    No I'm not kidding
    That's what she told her

    Three six nine
    The goose drank wine
The monkey chew tobacco on the streetcar line
The line broke, the monkey got choked
And they all went to heaven in a little rowboat

    Clap Clap!
Clap your hands and prepare to Pat
    Take your right arm
Pat your partner's palm with your right palm

    Clap!
Take your hand back and clap
    Clap!
    Take your right arm
Cross your right arm with your left arm
Pat your partner's left palm with your left palm
    Clap!
    Now back with a clap
Take your hand to your palm and slap your thigh
    And watch the fun materialize
As you sing this little song:

My mama told me if I was lucky
    That she would treat me
    If I was goody
My Aunty told her, I shoulda told her
    No I'm not kidding
    That's what she told her

    That's what she told her

My mama told me if I was lucky
    That she would treat me
    If I was goody
My Aunty told her, I shoulda told her
    No I'm not kidding
    That's what she told her

    That's what she told her
    I don't believe It
    Yeah right
    Can you believe it?

    Three six nine
    The goose drank wine
The monkey chew tobacco on the streetcar line
The line broke, the monkey got choked
And they all went to heaven in a little rowboat

"The Clapping Song" was a hit sometime in the early 1960s, for someone called Shirley Ellis (Ain't I sad knowing that, especially as I wasn't even born until 1967!!!) :D
