    1. Set desktop picture none.
    2. Go to max resolution+ colours
    3. Load up winamp and open up the AVS.
    4. Set it to Overlay and set desktop color to overlay.
    5. Switch on music and minimise Winamp.

My desktop looks totally freaky! smile.gif and there is no slow down whatsoever.

if theres no slowdown then your hardly taxing the card now are you? smile.gif

but still AVS running smoothly though, it not exactly the most optimized graphics app ever, hmmm could be worth looking into a geforce 3 so...

sounds like its replacing windows background yeah? you might be interested in http://www.geisswerks.com/drempels/ so .. bloody excellent screensaver (or just to have replacing your background), made by the same ppl who done the almighty Geiss *sniff* its so good hehe

It changes the background to a set color (a shade of green) and then writes directly to that color. Kind of like how DVD's show on screen.

The downside is I can't take screenshots of how cool the desktop looks as you will just see green on any other machine.
