Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What is this business with Cool Newbie and Quick Newbie and all that? Yes, I know it counts up from the number of posts but the adjectives are a bit adolescent in a nerdish kind of way. Any number of other hierarchies could be applied....

Atypically, I'd like to throw a spanner in the works by noting that given the recent hysterics over moderators etc, naming them "Captain" of the board they moderate is hardly going to reduce instances of Mod X claiming "My board this, my board that...".

Maybe changing the format "Captain: <board-link>" to something different would help.

i like the titles 'captain', 'admiral' and 'commander'. those titles suit the mods and the admins. it is just the other titles that i feel dont do the boards justice....

I think the revised 20000+ posts is ample. Sure can't the boys always decrease the number of posts accredited to a potential El Presidente, to keep the would be spammers in check?
