Why Wouldn't you vote for a certain party, why would you vote for them?

What are the pros and cons involved in each party.

FF = Corrupt (too many brown bags)
FG = Holier then art thoe campaign (too little brown bags and Micheal Lowery)
Labour = No Pact proposal with the likely hood that they will enter power with FG anyway
PDs = Tacherite syndrom of Harney
    The Greens = To green to s h i t
SF = Tactics that resemble Gorilla warfare, if the Leaked story of Ministers for sports refercences to Sucide are to believed
The Socilists = I dont know very much about them why should i Vote for them
The Idependents = Only in it for themselfs and their constituies

    What are Your views.

Independents being in it for their constituencies is a good thing isnt it

Sinn fein i have yet to meet one who give a "yes" or "no" answer to a question

Labour Only labour candidate here is Jan O'Sullivan and we have very expensive refuse charges here because of her

Fine Gael, Each TD has about 24 people telling them what to do. michael noonan has more make-up on him in his posters than joan collins they come accross as somewhat fake.

    Fianna fail currupt currupt currupt

FF = Corrupt. Too much "gombeen" politics - a favour here, a favour there

FG = Tweedle dum and Tweedle dee - thats the difference between them and FF. Both of them inevitably end up singing "Anything you can do I can do better..." but neither of them ever do.

Labour = Alright-ish. The fact is, they seem to be living in the real world and not living in the post-civil-war mentality of the two bigger parties.

PD's = Again, living in the real world. Bit too Thatcherite and altogether too fond of selling off the family silver. However, they are against the "Bertie-Bowl", so yay! :D

The Greens = Nice ideas, but if they ever got to power, I doubt they could make em work.

SF = Nice sounding plans. Don't trust them to put them into action though. Still too involved with the IRA and not fond of coming forward about it.

The Idependents = One name: Jackie Healy-Rae

    All IMHO :)

Each independent should be looked on with regard to the platform they are standing on.

Some are outcasts, some are too parochial to warrant voting for but some stand on genuine issues that are of interest to all.

There is an alliance of independents standing on health issues around the country and I wish them well as their heart is in the right place.
There is an independent standing(david green, dublin mid-west) on the motor insurance issue as well which is a major issue for any business, taxi/hackney driver or youngish driver in the country.

If an independent finds a niche that has enough support to get them elected then more power to them as long as they are not robbing other constituencies to meet the demands of their local constituency.

    1) Led the campaign which defeated the water charges in Dublin in 1996
    2) Initiated and are leading the campaign against double taxation bin tax throughout Dublin
    3) Fight against racism, xenophobia and discrimination. Fight for a minimum wage of €9 per hour and comprehensive workers rights.
    4) TDs that are elected from the Socialist Party make the pledge to live only on the average industrial wage and donate the balance of their salary to community campaigns and to building an alternative to the corrupt "grey blob of similarity" that is the establishment parties.
