Anyone know when this phone is coming to Ireland? Cellular World said that Digifone had no plans to sell it, while that understood that Vodafone was the same. Strange though coz Vodafone has it listed in their latest brochure... It seems to be available in the UK since January...

they are both planning on selling it
according to v-fone it is currently being tested for compatability

from what i know this is the slowest process in the world.

should be released in 2/3 months

been waiting a while for it too, chap I asked couldn't say which model they were testing

I hope they skip the T68 and aim at the T68i [1] that was released a few weeks ago, better model than the original T68

still too crazy a price to buy sim free (around EUR 700) :(

It is on carphone warehouses website for £350 sterling, and about the same on sony ericsson website. Just wondering if anybody knows anywhere cheaper.

unfortunately the carphonewarehouse.co.uk store only ship to the UK :(

sonyericsson Eshop is the chepaest so far at STG 350 (EURO 560) (plus the cost of shipping to Ireland - but couldn't find that anywhere)

expansys is the main place i get gear from and it's down to EURO 610 (from EURO 700 when i posted first) (plus 25 shipping to Ireland)

two places to check out / ask (try their boards) would be:

Esato - great Ericsson enthuasist site
    http://www.esato.com/

Tsixtyeight - more focused T68 enthuasiast site

the warranty would be a big thing for me...

...especially for the firmware/software upgrades some newly released phones need in order to get all the technology working right :(

no waranty can mean shelling out for the phone service/upgrades
