    Nope, no catch. Ive used it for some time. It used to support eircell aswell, but i guess they copped on that they were loosing revenue and got themselves excluded. Oh well eh? Still good for sending to other net's.

    mtnsms is all well and good, but http://iol.quios.com beats it hands down, and covers both 087 and 086 (not sure about 085 though).

    www.excite.co.uk - you can send free SMS to a whole host of countries and it covers both 087, 088 and 086 as far as I know.

    3 or 4 messages a day only. But it's free so what the hey

    I find Speedytomato.co.uk to be great... i use it with 087/086 phones, you sign up with your mobile, it sends you a code to confirm you own the number and the messages you send appear as from your number: "003538*******" rather than "+231345445" or "Quios blah" or whatever so people can reply to your phone ... seems to work worldwide and you can do picture messages on it and get news & reminders on your phone, try it

    Ahhh these been around for fu*kin ages.
    In fact there areless today, theykinda coppedto people using international codes to send them anywehre so there is less. Quios used to do loads they the same people as do iol,in my day ya got 22 text msgs from them, iol is like 5,
    www.breathe.com lets ya do about 10, (use internation ie 353 etc. Eircell customers get 30 free a month from there site. I'm guessin esat does something simliar.

    www.Speedytomato.co.uk is as far as i have seen unlimited in the amount of texts sent. Digifone's www.DOL.ie give 500 messages a month and can send to any network I'm pretty sure

    Anyone know of an address you can send e-mails to that forwards them onto a phone, something like +353871234567@whatever.com

    I found one a few months ago but they'd only let you trial it for a couple of weeks, found others that forward the subject of the e-mail but that's it

    also good for text is http://www.iobox.com like Quios it uses a points system, but you get lots of these free to start with. It also has an e-mail notification service and other stuff for your phones (ringtones etc.)
