educom price increase

    i just checked the educom website and noticed they have increased their prices monthly charge is now €169(ex vat) for 400k/128(3 gb cap) and deposit is €999 this makes it alot more expensive then adsl
    i was hoping price would go down so i could afford it :(

    i forgot to say u also have to sigh a 3 year contract
    there are also other hidden costs

    Radio Appliance Licence (required)
    Dept of communications Licence fee for Ireland €50.00 pa

    and they charge alot if there are any complications with the installation
    seems like a big rip off(even more than before)

    Yup, got the "official" notification from Educom two weeks ago.
    Can't say that I was very happy with it. For one they could have told me (as a reseller) that they were going to do this and secondly it was expensive enough before the price increase.
    As for the contract duration they do offer 12 and 24 month contracts too now. Unfortunately I do not hold to much hope for them if they keep going on like this....
