Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I just noticed you have no specific forum for health and fitness, i hear you say, we have a Personal Issue's forum, but does that really deal with health or even fitness issues?

You really need one. And guess who would make an ideal candidate for a health and fitness moderator? no it aint a rhetorical question.

The good ol Caesar Bojangles himself, i am a changed man.
Give me a chance, ya wont regret it sir.

What would you talk about in this forum?? A health forum has been suggested before (by me) but was decided against for legal reasons, ie there is only one confirmed doctor of medicine on these boards, and we've all seen the muppets around here that would give bad advice. So that leaves fitness. Well, I'd post any fitness probs in the sports forum, and I'd prefer not to have a forum with guys posting pictures of their 'buff' selves and talking about how many crunches they can do. Of course it'll have to be left at the mercy of he admins.......

BTW, don't think you'd even be considered for mod for at least another year and 500 posts, and once everyone's forgotten about that horse pron :)

500 posts, thats like a year to two years away, i am gonna retire my internet boots and pull my two sites offline this summer.
Cos the internet is starting to become quite bland, so the only thing that would keep me posting and active on the net would be to award me a moderator badge, if not i will steal one from a once successful hobo pimp.

On the legality issue of a health board, its up to your good selves,
you aint forcing people to act upon what they read here. Like you didnt have to fiddle with your man flute when you seen that pic straight out of animal farm.

In principle I would like to see such afore mentioned forum.

    However...
    -Health:
there are problems with people dispensing advice about health- its not like giving someone advice on how to configure their e-mail client or such.

    -Fitness:
Yes I would like to discuss this but I mainly just surf the main health and fitness (most of which have forums anyway). And there is (IMO) a finite limit about how much one can dicuss. I used to be an infomaniac on this topic, but once you get info, you generally settle into your routine.

    -Nutrition (possible discussion):
Why not post it on the food board. [Although, I do concede there might not be much reponse to "What brand of creatine" do you use?":p]

    --
I'd like to see it but I think its well catered for elsewhere, and given the (potentially) sensitive advice issues, it might be best to steer clear (IMO) :) Having said that..."If you build it, they will come"

All i meant was share similar experiences with others. Not a diagnoses like "yip, you have cancer of the balls, mate. I know a guy who will remove them for ya in a mobile medical clinic called Mad-dog O' Reilly for €100".
And share info with fellow buff cookies, about fitness related stuff.

Surely it would be more apt, to go for a jog with a mate or try some mountaineering, while chatting about fitness issues? Rather than sitting in front of a pc and reading and debating over which is better lucosade sport or powerade.

    Just a thought.

Could you not say the same about every other thread on this site ? :p

I use these arguments against posting health issues on Personal Issues forum and i'm slated, go team! ...

Yes Azezil, but that's because you were actually the moderator of a forum making decisions to lock people's posts based on these arguments. They're just as off-the-mark and over-generalised here, but there's hardly any point in treating this thread even remotely seriously since I think the chances of the bloody retard who posted horse porn on Films/TV last weekend ever being a moderator of anything other than his own bathroom are about as good as the chances of Satan waking up tomorrow morning and seeing kids chucking snowballs around in his living room.

Personally i dont think i have subnormal intelligence, hence i aint a retard. And you know as well as i do to classify that as horse porn it would have to involve horses in the act rather than a horse and a women. So technically you could call it lady porn because there was a lady in the pic too.

A health and fitness forum would be a great addition and it would attract more people with an interest in fitness, c'mon you even have a forum dedicated to bubbles, and i reckon you'd get more hits on a fitness forum in one week than bubble's forum in a month.

Maybe the Sport board could be renamed to Sport / Fitness or something.

    " Sport / Fitness "

    Good Idea Sico.
That may be a good way to go :)
