Undelete software need

    A mate has deleted a whole lot of photos of his new daughter and would like to get them back.I know there is never a 100% chance of getting them but would like to try.Can anyone recommend the best program

    nortan utilities 2002 has an undelete option, but the longer they wait the more chance of never getting any of it back. when windows deletes stuff, it's just teling the OS that the space can be overwritten by applications... so it gets harder to retrieve data the longer you wait !!

    Both Norton and the program that Execsoft make come with one problem from your point of view - they have to be installed on the HD - always a chance that installing your new program to get the photos back will in an ironic way overwrite them.

    Was he not thinking at all about what he was doing when he popped them in the Recycle Bin and then emptied it?

    no, you can run Nortan 2002 from the CD :D You dont have to install it at all
