hook pc to laptop

dunno if this is the right place for this post but, i have a laptop and a PC that i want to hook up for gaming and file-sharing./ what do i need to do this and how do i do this.

there aint too many games you'll be playing on a direct connect or over serial cable these days.. so as that thread reccomends, get yourself a crossover cable (~€7) and hook the two together...
you'll need two network cards of course but dont worry about a hub, pointless extra expense unless your definitly going to have more than the two machines (and have space).
