modding ur bios logo

    whats the story with modifying ur bios logo?
    i d/l some logos but with no readme and there was no instructions on da site. does anybody know how to do it? I got some of thos kewl "satan inside ones" and some q3 ones. I think u need to flash the bios but im not sure.

    p.s im bot talking about changing the windows logo on boot up, im on about the little logo in the top right when the bios loads just after u turn on da pc.

    aye you can change it easily enough.. basically it involves overwriting the part of the bios that contains the epa (crappy 4 color bitmap i think) http://www.cs.pdx.edu/~hamell/biosepa.htm should give you everything in the way of tools and info

    It may depend on the bios itself - i have an ibm bios, and a recent flash upgrade i downloaded gives the user the opportunity to load a custom boot logo, max of 16 colours and under 50kb, bmp format. All you had to do was make the logo and place it on the flash floppy with a particular filename.
