Hey guys! I'm new to this wonderful site and would like to ask everyone, how would you rate some of these fine actors in the scale of 1 to 10, and if you can be bothered then tell a reason, why you rated them that way too, ok here goes:

Johnny Depp 7 (versatile)
Sean Penn 7 (very good, somewhat versatile)
Brad Pitt 8 (same as Depp, can play hotshot pretty boy, but also crazy ugly ****)
Denzel Washington 7 (over-rated)
Tom Hanks 7 (v. over-rated)
Jimmy Stewart 7 (personally don't see the interest)
Russell Crowe 7 1/2 (good, dodgy sometimes though)
Marlon Brando 8 1/2 (oldie but goodie)
Robert De Niro 9 (love the guy)
Edward Norton 8 (newie but goodie)
Al Pacino 9 (the man!)
Kevin Spacey 8 (wasn't sure about the 8 even. Was good for a while, now either seems bad, or just picks very very very very wrong films).

Washington and Hanks are probably better than I give them credit for, but I can't stand the way people go on about them. I just don't see it. Tom Hanks plays the same guy and and again (except for Philadelphia which admittedly was good). Denzel Washington is too much of a whingy preacher man.

Jimmy Steward was in The Rear Window and Its a Wonderful life.

I give them all ten out of ten they are all very good actors.

However Tom Hanks is over rated. It also has to do with the films he is in. Kevin Spacey should never have done Ordinary Decent Criminal.

Not many of these guys are going to go under the 5 marker.
