okay, it seems a good machine, but
it has just been built, and with a minumum of added software it just will not shut down.

It runs on w98se, i have tried disabling power management in the bios, but it always hangs on windows is shutting down.

The machien can shut down and restart fine, and the only thing i found on the website was a patch for machines with mapped drives(which this has) but that didnot fix it.

I remember ther was a commnd line for w98 you could type in where the option to enable fast shout down, and selective boot etc was available.

So 1. what was that command again, and
2. any ideas on getting it to shut down
