I read a few months ago that Netscape were not going to release any more versions. That piece is here - http://www.udzone.com/ShowDetail.asp?NewsId=733.

Interesting now that they are releasing another version. I wish they weren't!!

    Regards,

Forget Netscape and IE... as far as windows is concerned opera is the way forward. And it's gotten even better now since 6.02 has arrived IMO ;)

ask the next person on the street you meet if they have heard of opera and i wouldnt be too hopefull.
Unfortunatly who wins does not depend on the better browser but the better marketing.

    Opera < Mozilla

Mozilla is now the best browser for windows, yes you are right to tell people to forget about nutscrape and IE, but they can also forget about Opera at this stage. Mozilla is completely free, has no ad in the top right hand corner (cue Bard saying if you pay for it, it disappears, but why pay for a browser when there are free ones?), which gives it a much bigger viewable area for the actual pages you look at, and it also supports tabbed browsing which opera held to its own advantage for quite a while.

In short move on to bigger and better things, Mozilla is the new King.
