    [1] TV
    [2] Video
    [3] DVD
    [4] Surround sound speakers
    [5] HiFi's CD player

    It's fine most of the time, you just use the TV one... but watching a DVD with the speakers on = controllorama.

    TV in sitting room
    Video in sitting room
    HiFi amp in sitting room

    If you're gonna count all the remotes in the house it works out at about 8.

    1. I have 1 only 1. Its for a camera thingy and i always thought it was a bit sad, I mean a remote control for a camera means that really sad people can take photos of themselves....

    I don't own a tv/video/dvd etc so that seems to be where you all get most of yours!

    Maybe I am the sad b****rd, and i need 10 remote controls...maybe, just maybe

    at work:

    1 for (2) TV's
    and sh*tloads of remotes that don't work any more

    I got worried when I hit 7, then invested in a Philips Pronto - great piece of kit, and with so many pre-made configs avaiable for download from the web it's very easy to setup.

    Lets see...
    3 TV`s = 3 remotes
    2 VCR`s = 2 remotes
    AV amp = 1 remote
    DVD player = 1 remote
    Minidisc deck = 1 remote
    CD player = 1 remote
    Camcorder = 1 remote

    Marantz learning remote for all the above... = 1 remote

    Total = 11 (I also have 1 for the car stereo).:confused:

    i got a greaty program for my palm pilot:
    you aim the remote control you want to emulate at the IR port and press a button. The palm pilot learns the frequency and lets you assign it to a button.
    You draw buttons on your 'desktop' and teach them a function.
    You can have multiple destops for your different remotes too.
    handy.

    2) The other T.V. upstairs
    3) T.V. downstairs
    4) Video downstairs
    5) Hi-Fi downstairs
    6) Whilst I unlike some people do not own a d.v.d. player or a satelite I however do have a remote that mutes my grandmother:D:D:D:D:D
