OK looking for the old school heads only on this one: it's a toughie from circa93-94.
Robbie Nelson (of Agnelli &) used to drop this almost every set back when he played the Arena in Armagh. I can still hear it now but I never heard it any place else (although it was on a few mix tapes from that period).
Anyways the vocal, which sounds lie it's sung by Johnny Lydon of all people, goes something like this:

    High times, feelin' fine,
Kick off your shoes and let's blow our minds together,
    __________________...headin' for the avenue
    (breakdown) (chorus)
I want your love, I want it right now,
Because in my heart there's only you,
I want your love, I want it right now,
Because in my heart there's only you

Lift me up and blow me away,
I don't care what other people say...

That's the start and end bits (it's been a long time) and it was very uplifting, housey piano type tune. Also included in sets alongside this was the likes of Artemisa Bits n pieces, Drugs by Moby, Jacks' Groove, Follow me by Jam&Spoon: you get the idea.
Good times, but that tune kind of outdid all the rest. I don't expect to find it on P2P (although that would rock) but I'm willing to shell out for this on vinyl if only I could find the title...

    Anyone?

this should be a fairly obvious one for all you cheese freaks :p

can't remember much of the tune itself... just that it sounded immense.
the vocals should make it easy to id though.

some dude with a kind of raspy voice, singing "we are... your friends, you'll never be alone again. so come on... COME ONNNN"
tis a pure catchy slice of singalong cheese

Damnit...down for maintenance. What is this site; is it second hand stuff? Vinyl? Paid-for d/ls?

Probably the biggest resource for finding people selling the music you want. Never bought through it myself (would like to though) but AFAIK it has seller ratings etc.

Formats would definatley include vinyl and cd if not more (video and books too). People here have used it before so ask them, but it came up with copies of tracks that I have never seen anywhere else. Ever.

Doesn't mean you have to buy from them obviously but thought it was a good place to start.

I have bought loads through gemm and as Bri said, plenty available that you never see elsewhere. Have had no problems buying but i would stick to the gemm approved sellers with high ratings. Do also check when the seller last updated the listings as they can be weeks old and the track may no longer be available.

Yeah as Fdhc said. I've bought tonnes of stuff from that website and never had any trouble.

i had to id that one on my own a while ago - care to look back a few pages!?
i believe that it's "justice vs simian" - never be alone.
it's on erol alkans bugged out
in some 5 days off soulwax set
    backlash mix cd..

if anyone tells you that daft punk are justice or that bangalter is involved then they lie.
justice are french and have the same manager as daft punk.
any remix they do is seriously worth checking out.
they did one for dfa1979 that is just amazing, just, simply, amazing. like oh. my. god.

just heard a tune on the dance show on fm104
it had a female vocal saying
"take me to the top to the top take me to the top ........"

And it had a really familiar baseline which i should know the name of. very familiar 90s dance song.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Right, all I need hear is the correct name of an artist & song. I have it in my head as:

Barrio Bahi - Venga Brazil, but I've a feeling the artist name is all one word. No luck in Google or Discogs.

Lyrics are pretty limited; a girl saying "love is much too bright...giving a damn"

    Any ideas?

Bri i dont thing u have the right words with any of that , i ran a search on a music search engine and none of thse wordsin single form came up with any relating to the others , if u get one of them right either the track or the artist shouldbe a problem finding it

I know I've tried manys a time...but I have a snippet of it so I know I'm not wrong! To be fair there's plenty of vocals out there that arn't typed out - especially with dance songs as the vocals don't dominate near as much...ie. There won't be lyrics sites full of non-commercial dance (although this tune isn't especially underground!).

    Thanks for looking though.
