Its a remix of an old song which is really famous and it has been remixed before!its due out in the next few weeks but i just need the name of it its really annoyin!!its kinda a mellow dance song!

sorry if im wastin ur time lads but i need to know ahhhhhh!!!

Taut it had 'source' or alone in the title 'somewhere'

i no ive no info but its a challenge for you guys!
    cheers

You've got the Love - The Source ft Candi Staton

It's the Now Voyager mix from a few years back, which IMO isn't a patch on the original detroit techno version which charted in the early 90s.
They seem to rerelease this track every few years as well, and it always seems to do well.

Oh something just occured to me after replying to the last thing...

That other Candi Staton track, Young hearts, run free....there used to be this completely storming mix of it from around 93-94...uplifting piano trance, really love to know what mix it was...I've hunted for it over the years but no joy.
    Anyone help?

    Hi All,
I'm looking for the artist/title of a dance track from the early/mid 90s I'd say.

The only lyrics I can recall in it are: -

(we got, we got we got, we got) love and emotion (we got we got...)

Not a lot to go on I know.....but if anyone has any ideas it would be great.

    Cheers,

    DC.

Thanks Anima! You don't happen to know the name of the remix with just the 'perfect motion' lyrics in it do you? I've listened to a few versions of this track and can't seem to find it.

    Thanks again for the help.

EDIT: I just found it. It was the 'Boys Own Edit' :-)

looking for a track off an old tdv tape.i am guessing in and around 1996.

the mix tape was called progression or regression.

    its the first track.

it has a male vocal saying water.(thats all!)

the bassline is kind of like agnelli and nelsons el nino!

have an audio sample and will try to get it on-line

Please do not be alarmed, remain calm. Do not attempt to leave the dancefloor. The DJ booth is conducting a troubleshoot test of the entire system. Somehow, while the party was in progress, an unidentified frequency has been existing in the system for some time. And while many of you have been made too brainwashed to comprehend, this frequency is, and has become a threat to our soceity as we know it.

This frequency has been used by a secret society in conjunction with Lucifer to lure and prey on innocent partygoers. With hypnotism, syncroprism, tricknology, lies, scandal, and pornography. While the party is still in progress we will keep you updated on our current status.

We repeat, this is only a test, this is only a test. This station in conjunction with other airwave announcements will conduct this exact test without prejudice, under the juricepurdence of the soul, the mind, the body, the positive, the negitive, the ground, the proton, the neutron, the electron, the ying, the yang, the young, the sun, the moon, the star. This is only a test.

This station in conjunction with other airwave announcements will conduct this exact test without prejudice, under the juricepurdence of the soul, the mind, the body, the positive, the negitive, the ground, the proton, the neutron, the electron, the ying, the yang, the young, the sun, the moon, the star, the man, the woman, the child, the plaitiff, the defendant, the judgement, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, the past, the present, the future."
I've been trying to track down this tune for ages. I know this is sampled in quite a few songs, but I cannot find the one I want. So far I've come up with [SIZE=-1]Peter Bailey - Dancefloor and [/SIZE] Foremost Poets - Moonraker but neither is the one I am looking for. I heard it on a cd a friend had - scribbled on it was "DJ Afromat - funky House" but no one I know has ever heard of the guy. The sample started off on its own, and a big deep bassline came in after the first few sentances...

    Anyone got any ideas?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,909 ✭✭✭✭Wertz

If you'd have not said it wasn't Moonraker, then that's what I'd have siad...and that's what I'm still saying....probably the dirty vocal mix....the bassline et al kick in at about the point where the guy is droning "frequency has been existing..."
I'll hunt it up, rip a low quality mp3 and upload it when I get a chance...

Can anyone help identify a tune?? It's been a classic for me and all my friends for ages but nobody knows what its called or who sings it - we just call it 'the dawn song' cos it always gets played at the end of sessions! Its an unusual one, a guy rapping in italian i think, laid back funky jazzy kind of tune - it's become a bit of an enigma! Hopefully somebody out there can put an end to the mystery. Can anyone tell me how to upload an mp3 so people can listen and see if they know??

this is Tullio Piscopo - Stop Bajon (Primavera)

Hi. The song Im trying to identify as follows:

    *Late 80s to early 90s [I think]
*Commercial Dance with a cheesy ethnic flavour [greek? spanish? Turkish?]
*It has a regular enough beat and the lead consists mostly of Accordians.
*The female vocalist sings the same notes as the accordian [not in english]
*There is a breakdown where the accordians kinda stutter.

I reckon it has been used on every travel show on earth whenever they go near Malta or Greece etc.. Think Amelie soundtrack on Uzo.
Its not the Kiss Kiss song, but is similar in its catchyness/tackiness.

Thanks in advance, I know one of you guys will know this.

I was reading your descrip in the music forum and it sounds to me like Bring me Edelweiss by Edelweiss....but I'm going by memory of it from it's original release...I'm not a big fan of TV travel shows.

    *Late 80s to early 90s [I think] Yep...88 I think
*Commercial Dance with a cheesy ethnic flavour [greek? spanish? Turkish?] I thought Austrain but maybe Swiss so meh.
*It has a regular enough beat and the lead consists mostly of Accordians. Yep. Fits the bill.
*The female vocalist sings the same notes as the accordian [not in english] can't be sure on this...I know there is english in the song words, but not all of it.
*There is a breakdown where the accordians kinda stutter. Again, IIRC this too fits the bill.

    Edelweiss
Nope- but thanks for havin a stab at it. I dont know why I want this song so bad its just in my head and Im kinda obsessively geeky with songs like this...

anyway desperate times call for desperate measures so I made a desperate cover version of it  for yall to check out [eek - its even more tacky than the origional!!]
.. Im sure someone will recognise it and go ..."oh yeahhh thaaat sonnng" ... hopefully..

The 2mb compressed mono wav file is here:
