I downloaded this a while ago:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5AFMTJF8

But have no idea what it is now . I have a feeling it's Roots Manuva in some form or another. Good mix of reaggae and hip hop anyways. If anyone could shed any light on this then I would be most grateful!

Hey Guys, I heard a song the other day that I have not heard in ages. I'm 99% sure it's Underworld - its a very well known one, absolute madness, the kind that goes nuts at a festival. It's not 'Cowgirl' but the mix I heard brought it in at the end... Sorry for being so vague but can anyone tell me some of Underworld songs that might be it?
    Cheers

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,909 ✭✭✭✭Wertz

All I can tell you is that it's not Roots Manuva...anything I have by him, he never sings as much as raps.

    The 2nd track, the guy sings about Ariwa studios in London, so it's likely the mix is done by the mad professor;
    http://www.ariwa.com/

Good chance you'll find more clues on there if you know where you sourced the mix...I'm thinking radio1 or 1Xtra?
Can't beat a bit of dubplate on a sunday morning...

Thanks dude. Was thinking it was some kind of Roots Manuva mix rather than them performing as such. Something in the same vein as the back to mine compilation they did. For the life of me I can't remember where I got it from....sorry!

What's the name of that Raggamuffin track from years ago with the girl singing "I'll be there, I'll be there, something, something, something, something, I'll be there"??

Hi all, can anyone tell me who sings this song, the lyrics go like, "Everybody asks me what the ****'s so great about dancing? Well how the **** should I know....". I heard it in a mix by Ellen Allien but I've also heard it fairly recently on the radio. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 139 ✭✭Matamoros

I am looking for what I think is the original mix of " Music is my life " circa 1994 , I just don't know the Artist's name. There have been a few v.dodgy mixes more recently by assorted Euro idiots.

I have this 1 sided 12" at home. It is mental. Loads of twisted analogue pads and shouty vocals at the start and then midway it goes all techno-rok (man!)
    Worthwhile laying your hands on.

    Status Quo: "Down, Down" ???

    lyrics:
    Down Down
    ( Rossi / Young )

    Get down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Get down deeper and down

I want all the world to see
    To see you're laughing
    And you're laughing at me
I can take it all from you
Again again again again again again again
    Deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Get down deeper and down

I have all the ways you see
    To keep you guessing
    Stop your messing with me
You'll be back to find your way
Again again again again again again again
    Deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Get down

    Get down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Get down deeper and down

I have found out you see
    I know what you're doing
    What you`re doing to me
I'll keep on and say to you
Again again again again again again again
    Deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Down down deeper and down
    Get down
