Stumped on all. However the first track sounds like Loleatta Holloway on the vocals.

This is a longshot but I'll give it a go. I saw Steffi at twisted pepper on saturday and towards the end of her set she played this absolute betler of a track. Real steady thumpy techno beat and really dark, rich piano to it really nice melody, and a vocal sample something like talk to meee or something, definitely not dont talk to me or anything like that, appreciate if anyone knows. thanks!!

Female vocal, that's not the tune but that's killer anyway! Thanks haha. It had a really low, really nice piano riff, thats all i can say to describe it. It's real like 'holy **** this is amazing' kind of stuff heard live. It sounded close to talk to me or talk or something to that effect. I know it's well known anyway

Looking for what I think was a trance song, from 1995 or earlier
I was at Dance nation 1995 in dublin and heard it there,
I remember I asked another lad there and he said the name was something like under gun or under the sun, or something similar, all i remember is 'under' or 'gun'
anyway it was a trance song i think and the lyrics went something like this...

'i see, you, you, see, me... i'm gonna get you... ' or 'i'm coming for you'
and there was other vocals again like 'ahhhhhh ahhhhhh ah ah ah' with a pause and it would repeat the 'ahs' again and then it would kick back into the music and repeated the same lyrics again.
I think the vocals were male, but they could've been female.

It's very hazy to remember, but that's all I can. If anyone knows anything would be really helpful as I've been looking for this song since!

alright theres this song , it sounds like a track by the prodigy ( it may well be) it has female singer singing quite fast saying somethign a;long the the lines of ''aint nobody, .....................................................get with me'' ( i could just be making them lyrics up altogether)
i have the beat in my head clearly its sounds very similar to this AFX song at 1:17 but more of big beat sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sort2m3H3dc
also its a pretty common song since i heard it a lot in my life time
Is there a break before you hear the vocals? And could it be 'ain't nobody ..love me better than this'? Chaka khan sample?

Think this might be what you're looking for?

    Hello!

Genre - Dance (At a guess i'd say electroclash or progressive house)
Had lyrics, a man rapping/singing over the top of the french childrens tune -

    Frère Jacques, frère Jacques,
    Dormez-vous ? Dormez-vous ?
Sonnez les matines ! Sonnez les matines !
Ding, daing, dong. Ding, daing, dong.

But it was just the tune, not the song lyrics. Very subtly done as well.

I tried to shazzam but the DJ was mixing it out and i got the next song.

    Any help much appreciated!

Hope the pros here can help. It has the main beat of this song but is like an Ibiza Remix version with the main beat playing over and over..very summer-y. Was in the charts recently but can't remember the name of the bleedin thing.

    Like this

For the life of me it's stuck in my head and i can't seem to stop humming it.

Not so much a 'name the tune', but 'name the sample' -

What is the female vocal (do what you want, do what you like, do what you feel, do what you need) sampled from? Around the 1:25 mark?

Wrecking my head! whosampled.com and asking the dougal threw up nothing, I wonder did Madlib just get someone to sing it

Dunno, but a lovely tune and smooth sample! I threw up a comment on the video, so let's wait and see if some clever clogs can enlighten us :pac:

I wish I could help some of the posters here but I never know the name of the tune you're after....sorry!!!

Anyway here's a Four Tet mix, the tune that comes in around 14:40 and leaves at around 20:00, the real distinctive one with the soulful sample....

Can anyone I.D, or provide a tracklist!?

By the way, that tune is from Madlib's 'Shades of Blue' album which is constructed using samples from the Blue Note record label archives, so I doubt he actually created it. More likely from some old Blue Note release.
