Phone line needed for Sky Satelite

We have moved house over a month ago, rang up NTL told them we were moving and gave them our new address for them to re-connect us in the new gaff. Still have'nt been re-connected, even though it only took them a day to originally connect us in the beginning. They said there is a queue. Absolute horse$hit

Anyways were going to tell NTL to feck off and start subscribing to Sky Digital, only we were told that we werent allowed because we dont have a phone line in the house. My parents have SKy Digital as do a lot of mates and none of them have a phone line connected to their Digibox. Is this bull$**** from the particular Sky Re-seller we rang, or if not is there a way around it?

get a seond hand sky box, ring sky give them your bank a/c or cc no. they will send u a contract, complete and retuen contract, sky will send out viewing card, put card in box, ring sky with card no, box ser no and bingo sky will switch u on no need for telephone connection.

If you're gonna opt for second hand box, get one from eBay or somewhere which comes with Free To View card.

I subscribed to sky in march, didn't need a tel no. The installers put down a fake no. on the contract. The exact phrase was "Sky don't give a f>uk so long as they get their money".

anyway from my experience most of that interactive crap doesn';t work cuz it says"sorry, this service is not yet available to ROI subscribers"!

Part of the contract states that BSkyB will inform you by letter that your phone line is not connected. If you don't connect it within a reasonable amount of time, they will sue you for the price of the box and minidish (360 euro).
But in order to sue, they have to produce their copy of this letter, and prove that the phone line wasn't connected within a reasonable amount of time.
I don't think there will be many lawsuits to be honest.
