Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

a lot nicer now I think.
(ooh I've just noticed that if you hit control - i or control - b it brings up the italic/bold script on my mac! Cool, has that always been so?)

That's a bug though ye DBC?

Can I make a small suggestion.. if you don't have any private forums - can the drop down for private say - "you have no private forums" or "you have no mates" or something like that. It just gives me a strange looking line when i pass over it.

We may also upgrade Sport to a top-level position...

Is it more preferable to have many top level items in a hierarchal menu, or few top level and a deep tree?

There must be books written on the subject.

    DBC:
Thats always been there actually, and you can click on the right of the box to go to that board....

Thats a z-order layers problem with IE actually, nought we can do about it.

As regards the UI, I think Bill Gates seems to think one entry point in the bottom left hand corner is a good idea. So it cant be that....

I prefer a square approach, so 6 top ones, with 6 drop downs, with 6 drop outs, or 7x7x7.
Of course this isnt always possible buts its an ideal...
that way you are only dealing with a small number of choices at each branch in the navigation.

    DeV.

Just booted up Mozilla on my unix shell in college, and it works perfectly. Tis a Microsoft blunder, not a 'Regi Says Oops' moment. And boards.ie works perfectly on every browser i have ever viewed it* on, appart from Links / Lynx which make the threads tables appear in the wrong order.

    GG Boards.ie

    * And that is some feat.
