    And here they are, the Bertie team '02-'07....

    Seamus Brennan: Transport and public Enterprise;

    Martin Cullen: Environment;

    Dermot Ahern: Communications and Natural Resources;

    Eamonn O Cuiv: Community, Rural and Gaeltacht;

    Mary Coughlan: Social, Community and Family Affairs;

    Joe Walsh: Agriculture and Food;

    John O’Donoghue: Arts, Sport and Tourism;

    Mary Harney: Enterprise, Trade and Employment;

    Michael Smith: Defence;

    Charlie McCreevy: Finance;

    Brian Cowen: Foreign Affairs;

    Noel Dempsey: Education and Science;

    Mícheal Martin: Health and Children;

    Michael McDowell: Justice, Equality and Law Reform;

    Mary Hanafin: Government Chief Whip;

    Dick Roche: Minister of State for European Affairs;

    Rory Brady: Attorney General.

    I'd say that Noel Dempsey will be a bit pissed at the move to Education.....

    As a self confessed TV anorak, I'm glad to see Sile DeV gone. She has been as much use as a gnat for TV.....
    I'm just wondering just what John O'Donohue will bring to that area.

    Any other opinions the new flock?

    Hell NO!!!... Lets hope for a mass crash of government. Like Harney demanding the two seats either side of her to fit her arsse... ;)

    J. O'Donohue will be terrible. He will strike a deal with RTÉ... Funds to keep it afloat in return for more state censorship...

    As for Brennan in Public Enterprise and Transport. I can't see any other new ministers doing anything worth while. Brennan gets things done and might actually solve some of the problems in transport...
    UNfortunitly the communications portfolio has gone elsewhere... (too bad IOFFL).

    This sounds very parochical but I'll say it anyway-

    Waterford has finally got a FF minister!

    The last time that happened last nearly half a century ago.

    Was I the only one to spill my tea when I heard the name O'Donohue mentioned in the same breath as arts...looking foward to Judge " Dread" McDowell in the Halls of Justice.

    Mike.
