Can anyone tell me what's the difference between OEM and Retail?

If you had a choice between these two cards which one would you pick?

Creative Labs GeForce MX 200 32MB SDR AGP.
    or
ATI Radeon SDR Video Out 32MB AGP OEM.

OEM will only have like 30days guarantee.

OEM may not perform as well as its retail counter part (chip may be clocked lower)

    OEM is much cheaper.

    OEM will have no box/manual/drivers.

    Ashley...if only

i have to agree with mayhem, were the hell did you get all that chernobyl,

what is dicribe is b grade stock, allot of which is oem, but to be oem doesnt mean your sub standard, you jsut get the barebone package, like a hard drive wqith no extra cables or manual,

To cut to the chase, don't buy either of those cards!

Get a kyro 2 OEM, or if you must have an MX then make sure its a 400, not a 200.

mayhem and gladiator are correct, and as far as "much cheaper for oem" thats utter nonsense...unless you consider 2 or 3 pounds a load of money.

    Cheers Guys!

    I ended up buying a 3D Prophet 4500 64mb (Kyro2)
I hope this is half decent.

Nonsense, OEM hardware (and software) is only supposed to be sold to systembuilders. It mostly comes without the "fancy" packaging etc. Warranty can be either the manufacturers or the system resellers. In all cases you can really on the original manufacturer for your warranty. However any support has to be andled initially by the systembuilder. The comment re. lower performance is utter ridiculous...
