Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

it was because of him backing germany to beat ireland and something he did or said this morning

Tis a pity, Dunphy was the main reason I watch the RTE analysis.

ya its a pity.. i've read a few articles in the newspaper the past few days praising RTE's match analysis, and I've agreed with them all. Dunphy was pushing it though, and I expected him to be dropped after the cameroon game, although that is not the way I would prefer it.

Any idea what he said this morning?

    Where did you hear/read this?

After his POSITIVE comments about the Irish team post 1-1 with Germany Dunphy is clearly tiring of his 'negative creep' schtick leaving him now of little value as an analysist.

Erm... I saw this mornings effort from Dunphy, he was on for the Japanese game at noon, and from what I saw, he looked pissed. Peter Collins asked him a straight question about McAteer's problems, and he didnt give a very cohesive answer (well, no more that usual.)

Random drug testing for the pundits now?? :D

It appears he was not 100% sober.

"Mr Dunphy told RTE News tonight that he had not been in a fit state to do his work this morning, and he owed RTE and the viewers an apology."

    Hic!

Must be loads of sauce on that humble pie he's been chewing on for the last week or so... :D:D

Jesus! What is it with certain ppl? He lost his driving licence
a while back after being caught drunk "in charge of a vehicular
automotive type thingy", if I remember rightly he also got suspended by RTE in the past....trouble is, he'll just laugh it off on The Last Word and say he was very silly and blah, blah, blah....

    Mike.

I now know for sure that I will not be watching RTÉ ever again. Its now **** at everything, the only reason I ever watched it was because of Dunphys entertaining analysis. **** you RTÉ, youre only a boring bunch of stiffs now.

The more controversy surrounding Dunphy, the more books he'll sell when the time comes. The chap just doesn't give a bollix. :)
