Vodafone mobile phone additions

    Samsung T100 [1] (big promo in-store)
It has a great (internal) screen (Colour TFT LCD - watch the battery!) and polyphonic ring tones, CSD (circuit switched) WAP, external monochrome display also.

Looks like a grand phone for someone who just wants to talk with the added bonus of the 'ooh cool phone' factor :) , definitely not a for anyone who wants any data connectivity or to future proof their approx. EUR 350.

For such a hefty price tag, you'd expect the extras but there's no GPRS, no Tri-Band, no Infrared, (no Bluetooth). Price is about EUR 350 (can be paid by deposit and 12 month billed instalments).

    Nokia 6310 [2]
Has also made it to Vodafone. Price is EUR239 (new connection/upgrade), and is being distributed to the retail outlets (so check availability). Workhourse phone with HSCSD, GPRS, Bluetooth, Dual Band.

Still experiencing some software issues (v4.20), GPRS suspend / resume over Bluetooth fails, phone also 'reboots' itself now and again while using the UI (Wap Browser, Calender, To-Do features).

    Ericsson T68 [3]
It's (finally!) arrived, or has it? It's made it into Vodafone Store magazine, although Voda customer care say it's still being tested. Most feature rich of these three phones: GPRS, HSCSD, Bluetooth, Tri-Band, Colour screen (not TFT though - but that saves the battery performance).

Preferred to have seen the T68i [4] as it has more features and is better future proofed (MMS), also benefits from the Sony input in design (post SonyEricsson).

    Hi BrianG,

Seeing as you seem to be an authority on the subject, any news on the 6310i? i.e. the Tri-band version of the 6310?

Is this available yet, or any time soon?

    Hi KrustyC,

Haven't heard about the 6310i from either operator.

Bats had a response from Vodafone about the 6310i in this thread:

    (a little OT)

I see O2 now have the 3410 out. No idea on price but it has the same key configuration of the 61x0, 8x10 etc (can't deal with that 3310/3330/3210 navigate key thing at all)
