Theres a thread over on the Music / Dance-Electronic board for something similar, well worth a look.
Also check out www.kvr-vst.com for more Cubase specific stuff.
AFAIK the cubase manual is in PDF format, it should be on the CD you got with the audigy pack.

the manual is very very off the wall....no indepth explaination...plus it doesnt tell you how to do more than one track per song......? you know similtanious play and record?

I heard the Cubase manual wasnt great alright. But I'm afraid I'm a Sonar man myself, never really got into Cubase at all.
If it's anything similar then there should be an INSERT track option somewhere (EDIT ?) where you can choose Audio or Midi.
Check out that site btw, there are a fair few tutuorials a forums full of Cubase users.

Hi Sinus...I was in the same boat as you 4 months ago...got a sounblaster Audigy card with a free version of Cubase called Cubasis. I found the best way to figure it out is to avoid the manual and search the messageboards instead. They're the best teachers.

    Try these out...

    http://linux1723.dn.net/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=cubase+for+windows&number=2&DaysPrune=10&LastLogin=

I don't have Cubase on this puter but if you want to insert a .wav file you have already recorded this should work...

Select an audio track (not a midi track or it won't work)

Go to File>insert track>Audio track (or something like that)

That should work, but if it doesn't it may be something to do with the sample rate of the wav file (ie 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 96kHz). You change that easy enough though. It could be other small simple thing either.

All this is assuming that you have a .WAV file already created/recorded...Are you trying to insert a .wav file or is it some other format like mp3?

I won't say buy a copy of Calkwalk but you should get a
sub to Computer Music magazine, over a few issues you'll learn loads though first you'll just be confused and need to read everything 10 times before understanding! :)

Terratec make soundcards but as you allready have one...

As for Midi keyboards I have a Evolution MK261 and its exellent
though has been superceded by a usb version. That said you
can proberly still get one. It cost me about 200. You can spend less but whatever you buy make sure its got 5 octaves and touch senseitive.

    Mike.
