    i'd say 3-1 ireland

spain look suspect at the back (so do ireland) but i think Raul will have a bad day and while they push for a goal duff scores to make it 3-1.

Is it my head or my heart talking??

    :-)

I say 2-2 , who knows what happens next?

I heard that McCarthy was unhappy with the training pitch in Korea

And I mean that- I could have sworn that Argentina would have made at least the quarters, but wasn't to be. Ireland in fact deserved to win their match vs. Germany- and Germany for me seem to have something about them in this finals...there's a very very strong team-spirit there: to take the lead vs. Cameroon with 10 men, hold on for a second goal and win that last match was one of the best peformances I've seen- yet Ireland were better. Spain had arguably a trivial group compared to the Irish lads, but they're unbeaten so will start as favorites. Though when the pressure's on, something tells me Ireland will keep their nerve over the Spaniards. Here's hoping anyway :)

    Occy

He was. That's why they ditched the training pitch and ended up training in an Army training camp surrounded by heavily armed soldiers, military vehicles, etc.
