    :)

Took ages, learned loads and cut my fingers to bits during the filing. (kept stabbing myself with the needle files!)

Unfortunately the metal is a bit bent around the fins, from all the drilling and filing bending it, I straightened and clamped what I could so it looks okay, but if it was laser cut it would be *so* much better, not to mention done in a weekend.

Oh, and someone asked for pictures of the glowpad, finally took some decent ones with a nice digital camera: http://sleepygeek.org/glowpad.php

Yeha, it loks nice mate :)

Getting a nice dark shade of Black is a job and a half too.
have you given it a coat of clearcoat yet?
Give it a bit of elbow grease and rub in some Rubbing Compound over the clearcoat to give it a tough shiney finish.

I still have to find a suitable tool for doing this. A big circular pad would do well i thuink.

Not yet. I've screwed up parts of the painting, has a fingerprint or two on it. :P I'm not all that happy with this one, I have Plans (TM) for my next case.
