Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Best bad guys or gals in a movie?

So I've got five but the choice was tuff,

I left out some good ones.

Johnny from the shinning once he goes nuts
The Deliverence Family need I say more
Vaders Death Star boss who becomes even badder by destroying an entire planet.
Travis Bickle Taxi driver I think he's too cool to be a bad guy
Saddam as seen in South park

    Well here's my five.

1 Ed Gein as seen in psyco and texas chainsaw this real life killer was evil and disturbed
2 Fat Woman from the film Misery
3 Batty ( Replicant from the film Blade runner )
    4 Hanibal ( yummy! )
5 Jules Pulp Fiction with that Ezekiel 25 : 17 Quote

The real Ed Gein only killed 2 people.
He really wasn't that evil, just over-rated.

    Can't really pick five, but:
Stansfield from leon was ****ing BRILLIANT!

And basically any role Christopher Lee had.

I read a book on serial killers and Ed Gein killed a lot more than 2 people.

He once made a handbag from womens nipp;les and private parts he was one sick redneck mutha f**ker.

    Best Villian?

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 I'll think about it but maybe Mr Blonde from Res Dogs is in there and Eamon Dumpy?

:o no one said Chris Walken! :o

Anything with Christopher Walken in... evil evil man with evil hair.

Hannibal Lecter as portrayed by Anthony Hopkins in Silence of The Lambs or Brian Cox in Manhunter.

Rutger Hauer as John Ryder in The Hitcher.

Any villain played by Alan Rickman.

Finally of course master of evil and blood and campness, Christopher Lee, as seen anywhere ever except the one film where he was a good guy.

He made a lot of things from human parts, but they were mostly already dead, he was a grave robber and necropheliac mostly. He made a lot of the furniture in his house out of human body parts, and such like. But he only ever killed 2 people.

Yes, he was *VERY* sick, but he wasn't really that evil.

ah Emperor Whatshisface Effeminatus... ya he was evil in a kind of camp bitchy way... IMO Malcom McDowell in Caligula was worse but for the sake of ur minds I'm hoping u haven't seen that movie yet... tis sick...

Robert De Niro in AngelHeart can't be evil - he goes by the name of Louie Cypher because it sounds a bit like Lucifer and as a pun that has the cringe factor of a christmas cracker joke.

Lets save all teh monsters/creatures liek Alien for another poll eh? that way I can get Predator in ;)

    Right, let's roll.

    (in no order whatsoever)
Harry Powell (Robert Mitchum) - Night of the Hunter.
    Natlie (Carrie-Ann Moss) - Memento
Roy (Edward Norton) - Primal Fear
Doyle Lonnegan (Robert Shaw) - The Sting
Ed Rooney (Jeffrey Jones) - Ferris Bueller's Day Off

I could go on all day. These are the first five that sprang to mind.

Maybe subconciously he wants to be discovered so he can stop living the lie and just be himself ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,304 ✭✭✭✭koneko

    Hellrazor? ;)

Pinhead definitely a good one. Along with his cenobytes. Mm, yummy tearing flesh.

T1000 in T2. Robert Patrick. So cool in that film, what did he do since then? Join the X-files when it was going wwaaaay downhill.

Yamazaki Asami in Odishion/Audition. Evil bitch.

BTW Killing 2 people does not make you a serial killer. Ed Gein might have been an (interesting) sicko, but he was just a little messed in the head. I wouldn't consider him evil though. Just crazy. Like yer man in Silence of the Lambs with the suit made out of skin. Ew.

The guy in SotL was based on Gein.

But you could hadly compare someone like Ed Gein to say, Hitler?
He didn't really try to go and do some serious damage, he was just warped.
Where as Hitler tried to kill off an entire race!

Ooohh Deacon Frost was sooo cool. Very cool bad guy :)

Ron Perlman in anything. Right Angelwhore? :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,389 ✭✭✭✭Saruman

    Natlie (Carrie-Ann Moss) - Memento
Your kidding right?? She was no Super evil villain.. all she did was what most women do and **** with your mind etc... (sorry no offence Koneko etc... just kidding). Only thing freaky in that film was the timeline.. begins at end and ends at beginning...

    Sure she was.

Of course, she wasn't a serial killer, or a vampire, or whatever the hell other people have mentioned - she was an example of an ordinary person doing some incredibly evil things.

If the only thing you noticed in that whole film was the choppy chronology, then I suggest you go watch it again, because you've missed out on a really good film, with a genuinely evil villain.

"Here's Johnny" was actually a reference to the Johnny Carson show, which is why most people don't get it or think his name was Johnny.
It wasn't in the script, Nicholson just put it in, as he often did, and they kept it.

Anyway, as far as bad guys go, Nicholson and Walken would be my favourite. Ever see the Simpsons with Christopher Walken in it :D classic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,389 ✭✭✭✭Saruman
