if i can offer up a possible solution maybe the option to post unregistered should be made available only to the thread starter the follow up replies by others should be made openly (though the thead opener should be enabled to post follow up responses annonomously.
To be blunt if someone is offering up advice they should at least have the conviction to stand by what they say.
