And the buzz keeps growing..... Anyone who's got their hands on The D4's debut album '6Twenty' released just this week knows what we're talking about... Pixies, Ramones, Stooges, Hives... and somehow THE D4 have a gloriously riotous sound of their own.

    BELIEVE THE HYPE!

    ***************************

    THE D4

+ The NPB + Berkeley + BP Fallon (DJ)

    Whelan's

    Sat 22nd June. Doors 8pm

    Tickets€14.50 from usual outlets. www.ticketmaster.ie. Ph: 1890 925 100

A band whose riproaring live shows have made a major impression in the handful of shows they have done so far in Europe; The D4 are now managed by Creation Records/Poptones supremo Alan McGee - the man responsible for discovering everyone from Oasis and Primal Scream to The Hives and The Jesus & Mary Chain.

Also playing on the night are Dublin’s garage rockers The NPB, who return from supporting Swedish rockers The Soundtrack of our Lives across a string of UK dates; and young Northern 3-piece Berkeley who released impressed many when supporting Sparta. Legendary rock journalist/biographer BP Fallon - a massive fan of The D4 - will be spinning some tunes in between.

"The D4 play mean garage punk rock with nods towards Motorhead and AC/DC and a pinch of Jon Spencer. They make the sort of joyous, mucky noise that The Hives, try as they might, consistently fail to render. " - NME

"The D4 - 'Rock 'n' Roll Mother****er" Oasis vs this. KO to the D4.
    Big Time!" – TIME OUT

"If the Sex Pistols had ever toured New Zealand leaving paternity suits in their wake, this quartet could be Steve Jones lost sons" – THE INDEPENDENT

"brutal garage-punk.. The D4 are the best of the bunch'. KERRANG!

"RockNRoll Mother****er Single Of The Week'. How brilliant is that? And there's a whole album of the damn stuff, and they're not the only ones.**** this band. Fast." - PLAYLOUDER.COM
