    C'mon:
    I listed Exit Music.
Paranoid Android is happy because of the heavy bit.
Burning Red:meh... can't comment, because my cd is so scratched i cant even start to listen to this track.

You have to hear Violate first.Soo good.

There are two songs that make themselves become incredibly depressing if you know the stories behind them...

Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven
    Motley Crue - Nona

Songs that depress me mostly for personal reasons (many are CTYI songs)... and most of these also elate me at various times too:
American Pie <me being a nevermore and all... i find nostalgia comforting but also hideously depressing>
    Iris
    Street Spirit
    Stairway To Heaven
    Lithium

    Rest are just depressing songs:
    Radiohead - No Surprises
Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever
    Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
    Radiohead - True Love Waits
    Radiohead - Knives Out
NiN - Something I Can Never Have
    NiN - Somewhat Damaged <i think that's the name...>

Being rushed off now... more later.

    Depressing? Dunno really
    Radiohead-Street Spirit...uuuuuughhh
    Any Leonard Cohen stuff
There's other stuff that just depresses me, it reminds me of bad times. As a nevermore, American Pie really depresses me too.
Do songs that make you want to punch someone count as depressing?
If so, most of the chart
    Anything by Eminem
    Anything by Westlife
The crap dance music my brother listens to

    The Cure - "Love Song"
Phil Collins - "I Wish It Would Rain Down", "Separate Lives"
John Denver - "Leaving on a Jet Plane"
Bruce Springsteen - "Down to the River"

Why does everyone find Stairway to Heaven depressing?? Its basically just about how its never too late to change from being a bad person to a good person. And other such things.

    asleep-the smiths
    strawberry gashes-jack off jill
    the pyramid song-radiohead
    iris-goo goo dolls
    lady of the flowers-placebo
    black-pearl jam

hmm.songs don't depress me.bad songs can anger me(i punch invisible things when a pop idol starts to sing)but good songs,no matter how *depressing* they are considered by others, make me happy.it's nice when people write and perform good songs, and if that depresses you, well and good, but it makes me feel .....an-sásta."satisfied" doesn't quite describe it,but for some reason "an-sásta" does.

In response to Svens post a billion years ago 'dream brother' was written after one of jeff's friends ( michael tighe i think, but could be wrong) got a girl pregnant and was written as a warning not to abandon her and the child as Tim did.
    Hmmm my list would be
    'over our bodies' longpigs
'I know its over' The Smiths
    'last goodbye' jeff buckley
    'disappointed' the frames
'love will tear us apart' joy division
    'cheers darlin' Damien Rice
'I never asked to be your mountain' Tim Buckley
    'Adams Song' Blink 182
    'Between the bars' Elliott Smith
