Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He'd have been better off spread-betting.

Pick a few smaller teams and put money on them in the group matches. Always pays for itself at worst. Doesn't work in the Premiership too well, but the WC is just that kind of tournament (so is Wimbledon btw - putting money on the champion getting knocked out in the first or second round will give you a good profit in the mid-term - trouble is having to wait years for the actual profit if you don't get it right the first time)

Having said that, maybe he did. Could be how he got the money to lose it in the first place - a few well-placed bets on Senegal and Japan.

    muppet.

I don't bet a whole lot myself, and when i do it's always money i expect to lose. It'd only be píshed against the wall half the time anywyas.

I suppose some people have so much money that they have to put on ludicrous sums to get any enjoyment from placing a bet.

After all the millionaires €10,000 bet is like the poor mans €50 bet.
