Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

With the demise of Tara the Oirish Channel http://www.taratv.net (if the URL isn't dead yet ) there's quite a gap in the market for Irish TV programmes.

I haven't seen the Irish Post or Irish World here, but it wouldn't surprise me if Irish people were getting viewing cards from the RoI or even NI to watch RTE1 and N2- rights issues never stopped expat Brits in Spain from watching Sky, after all!

On the subject of Irish channels available in the u.k.(n.i.) i just recieved my UK box and card and all is working well, So I still got my Irish card which i gave to a friend in belfast and it works perfectly well in a UK(n.i.) box, he just wanted it for the RTE/TV3 channels, But I always thought that the card was married to the digi-box????, or have sky changed all that??

    cheers

The card pairing system does not affect all channels in my experience only premium channels were affected like movies , sports etc although it is possible for sky to change this at will.

    Hi,
Yesterday I installed a "bbc" system for a friend and brought a sky card from another mate and found I got a 07 message on BBC1 and BBC2 only. The card had Film4 and every other Family package junk channel working.

    Anyone else do this>?

Even though a card is married to a specific box, most of the regular channels will work once a card has been activated in any box. The channels that won't work are BBC1 and 2, any Sky premium channels (movies and sports). I am surprised that Film 4 worked.

    Hi
just out of interest the card you gave your mate was it a Irish minimum subscription card ? and do you still pay for it or have you got a agreement with your mate?
The reason I ask is that if a ex sub card can still receive RTE N2 etc ( non premium channels) when taken out of box and put in a different box and still get these channels...well it may just cure some of my problems and I may swop cards with somebody.
