Hey my Sony AMP is doing this agian. My last (old Pro Logic STR515) did once or twice where it the sound would stop and PROTECT PROTECT would flash up in the LCD panael. Now my new one did this morning. Anyone know what this means? System. STR de475 L & R Radius Surround Mordaunt Short. Aiwa Sub Sony centre. No clue what…

No clue what it means ,knocked it off turned back on and its fine.

caused by some (or one) of the speakers drawing too much power.
check for faulty cables, + and - cables touching, remove any bi-wiring if any... if its a regular occurence than try narrowing it down a bit (remove the sub first, although that shouldn't be the problem if its active.. again check wiring tho)

Thx 2 wires on the L speaker where touching (damn kids)
Seems fine now.
