    Toshiba Satellite 420CDT.

    Pentium 133 with 40mb ram
TFT screen, Internal CD drive, External floppy, Infrared port, 56k PCMCIA Modem, PS\2 port, etc.

OS is currently Windows 95, MS Word/Excel installed. Includes carry case. Little use.

    Nice, solidly built little machine.

I don't know how big the hdd is, forgot to ask, but I think it's 4gb.

    How much is it worth?

Well how much do you want ?

Check around you can buy a higher spec machine for around £150.

I only want it so my parents have a machine to surf the web with.

mentioning it's a lap top usually helps...

Well I kinda thought it was obvious... PCMCIA card and all...

amen: for 75, not a chance.

I was estimating 250-300... spec doesn't matter that much once it's capable of things like surfing/word processing/etc. Sure, what good is a 700mhz machine to someone word processing?

I'd say 120 quid. It's a slow machine. 40 megs of ram drags it below the level that I reckon is tolerable, which is 64 megs.

Amen, let us know where you can get better laptops than that for £150.

i dont think he knew it was a laptop,
anywere around 100 seems fair enough dont expect to much, you may have paid 2grand + for the things but thats absolutly no reflection of its value now

2.send me a mail if you have it in a week and ill sell it for u. get 1 or 2 a week looking for that spec...

dont listen to the others, they dont knwo the value cuz they havent tried to buy any before.
