Hard Disk Testing Utility

    Hi folks,
I have a harddisk which I suspect may be dodgy, so I have reformated it and reinstalled the OS(NT4).What I'm looking for now is a utility that will read and write to every sector of the hard disk for a few hours(12hrs ie overnight) and report back any faults.

I was thinking of something in line with the utilities, which delete data permanently, by overwriting it a couple of times with data.

    Thanks in advance

afar there is something in the PGP suite of tools that does this.
    might be worth a look
