Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah I voted for Ireland. There's nothing more entertaining than last minute equalisers and we had 2! I wonder why England weren't listed in the top 6? :)

I wonder why Germany are there?

up until the Semi final against S. Korea i thought they were the most boring team in it.

Actually, unlike the Jules Rimet trophey this one will never become the sole posession of any country no matter how many times they win it. This is because the Rimet trophy was stolen and melted down after it had been given for keeps to Brazil after their win in 1970.

I was wondering about that today actually looking at the bottom of the trophy where team names are engraved - won't they run out of space? :P

Who's to say they won't have replaced it with another tropy before that happens anyway? The original FA cup for example was retired in 1992 so it does happen. Anyway, I'm sure it's hardly FIFA's biggest worry at the moment.

    we didn't do too well

It appears that matches aren't the only thing Korea are good at rigging?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,196 ✭✭✭Littletinyman

Haha rigging? That poll was doomed from the get-go, it's less a case of 'more entertaining team' and more a case of 'what country will vote on this poll the most'.

Germany!!! What the hell. Jim Beglin said it best when he said the Germans were the most boring team in the tournament up to the final. Poll rigging. :(
