Xp Error AGAIN

    I got this b4 and had to reinstall and reformat.
    Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

    Last time this wasnt available.

    do you have any virus software on your xp ?

    Try do what the support site tells you...


    Its supprising that you got this error twice, how old is your machine?

    Machine is kinda new.
    I get new parts quite often
    Xp is on since it came out.
    It happened about 4 months ago then again Sunday night.
    I cant even boot to ASR console
    Im near sure its a virus i have Norton Systemworks but was in work when it shutdown and displayed the error.
    Only had a few minutea at it today will try and boot from Norton discs morrow.
    The C drive isint showing up at all.
    But if its a virus why didnt Norton catch it.
