Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Digisender

I bought a Digisender a few weeks ago, as many of the contributors on this forum recommended it.
I had a few teething problems setting it up, for example the DECT chordless phone wouldn't work, but I changed the channel settings on the back of the digisender and it was fine.

About two weeks ago, I was unable to change TV channels with the Sky remote on the Digi 'receiver'. I checked the wiring, the location of the Magic Eye, and nothing worked. The batteries in the remote are fine. I checked the user manual, but no luck.

So now, basically, I can only watch one on Sky, without the ability to change channels via the Digi 'receiver'.

Can anyone shed any light on how I might fix this problem?

Obviously there is either a problem with your receiving digisender, or with your magic eye. Try these out:

    1. On my digisender, when I point a remote at the receiver, I can see a low flash of the red LED-type light (same one, I think the indicates that the device is powered up), indicating that it is picking up the remote. This happens with all remotes pointed at it, not just the Sky remote.

    2. Is your 'magic eye' still connected to the transmiiter? I find the 'magic eye' on mine is easily pulled out, and is quite loose.

    3. Is the magic eye place far enough out from the digibox. I find mine needs to be a good 6cm away from the box, more if its not on ths same level.

I guess these are all pretty elementary, and you have probably tried them out. Did you try re-adjusting the signal number on both devices? Perhaps there is a problem when on a different frequency?

If none of these work, I'd be complaining. Good Luck!

BTW I notice that Arnotts are now stocking a Philips version of this product. It looks different, is maybe 4 times larger, but costs €210 - and that's on sale. Anyone thinking of buying, don't spend that sort of money without checking out Maplin and Argos first (lees than €100).

    I have the One4All digisender.
I keep my Digibox mounted vertically.. Sometimes I find that if the ' magiceye' IR extender is too far above (i.e. to the right of the digibox - in my case) then it has problems sending the IR signal.
