Lads, I'm trying to install WinXP pro on a new machine, abd the damn thing goes all the way through the installation and then gives me the error as described here. According to Microsoft it is a hardware compatebility thing, but I ran their feckin compatebility checker before the install and it came up clean! Has anyone…

www.pcpitstop.com has a better XP checker.

Also there is something causing this error ie:hardware.
Remove anything that you can (you may end out replacing it).
Check for drivers ,info on any of your parts.
My guess either sound card or USB device.
