Whats better and why? From what I gather the GF4 is faster but lacks some of the GF3 graphical capabilties? is this true? Any comparisons to bought would be great.

huh? Do you mean to put GF3 in there somewhere? You are comparing the same card...

I think it also depends though... a top GeForce 3 will be topped by a high end GeForce 4 4600 or so... but certainly not by a GF4 MX

Get a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 and it'll beat any GeForce 3.

Geforce 3 (any) vs Geforce 4 MX(Any)

Geforce 3 wins by a mile any day.

Geforce 3(Any) v's Geforce 4 Ti (Any)

Geforce 4 Ti wins easily.

In summary, get a Geforce 4 Ti. If you have the choice between a GF3 and a GF4MX, get the GF3.
