Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I reckon it's a pretty good idea and could be a lot of fun, but it will need a board of its own as After Hours would get swamped otherwise. The board could be used to have all the various polls for each category as stickys, aswell as threads for nominations and so on. Thoughts ?

Well, now kaids has got me all thinking about this..........

I don't think it's problem. The forum mod will set up threads for the nominations. If someone nominates another user for stuff like 'biggest muppet' or 'dumbest user', then they must add links to threads, or legit reasons, as opposed to 'He called me a muppet when we were 12'.

After a certain period (say 2 weeks), the mod will then take the most nominated 5/8/10 out of each category and create polls.....maybe it would need 2 or 3 mods to do all this, especially with the amount of categories that kaids suggested on the other thread. I'm getting way too serious about this, aren't I?

DeV will be rubbing his hands with glee at all the extra page impressions he gets from people scouring the fora for past posts

(Oh ffs, I have it all planned out now :rolleyes: )

Merc - your post shows just how funny it'll be with the nominations, ie people nominating others who they hate, but who most others like

Mercury _tilt - If people are incapable of recieving a little tension in the ranks from "Nominations" then they really shouldn't be here... This award thing would be the exact same as writing up a new thread - You run the risk of your opinion clashing with someone elses and, at the worst, can rile up in rampant muppet wars and flame fests... All of which can be stamped out quite easily...

Of course, if the participants were MATURE enough to understand that the whole shebang is for a LAUGH and a HALF, then it wouldn't end up in such anarchy...

Thats all it is - a laugh. Even *I* know how to laugh...
