i am just wondering how many of you are going to splash out 23 euro on the next wwe ppv?

i have to admit to having bought the rumble (dont worry - i was given a hundred our fathers) and was not impressed - its the last wwe ppv ive bought or am likely to buy - esp since i end up buying the dvds anyway - god knows why but i do

if the wwe showed heat and the free for all/countdown segment as a bonus i might be tempted - i dont know why they dont - it would surely boost sales!

im not going to pay for it - regardless of charging others or not - im not going to suppoet box office by paying for a ppv that is going to be **** - all that does is speed up the process of having to pay for all 12 us ppvs plus i will end up buying the dvd so no way am i going to pay for the ppv twice

i have to say that none of the trhee announced matches excite me in any way 1) taker v rock - taker is a cripple and the rock is boring in ring (and an annoying ****er out of) and its a nothing match - despite being the title match - i could end up with egg on my face here but youve got to expect the rock to win so that we get a face heel match for slam (unless taker is being turned face - which it does look like that is in the process of happening) 2) edge v jericho - two good performers but what will this match do for either man? - no matter who wins its a loose loose situation for both careers and does nothing to elevate either man when both men desperatly need som e momentum in their respective careers 3) rvd v lesner - lesner is too green - he is still being taken by the hand through his matches and this will not allow a free flowing and improvised encounter - the type which rvd excels at (- and lesner just cant sell a move, i can see he is trying hard but he makes some great offence by his opponents look worse than a nash 'punch'

the only thing that is interesting to me at the moment is how booker will fair - match wise - at vengence i.e. which nwo member will he face? - i hope its not a tag match with goldust - the segments are great t.v. but he now needs some quality in ring action - actually one other thing interests me, or could - when will hbk wrestle again - youve got to believe it will happen - we all want o see if he can still pull it off one last time

Angle had better win, im going to get it just to see angle in a championsipmatch cause hes the only good maineventer in wwe.
Lesnar isnt meant to sell, hes a monster heel , in reality to get him over he shouldnt sell at all, he should take anything, the only thing a monster sell is a low blow, well thats the way it should be.

iwould love to see angle take it but i just dont see it happening - prove me wrong . . please, please please prove me wrong . . im begging you vince

as for lesner - i get what your saying - the old school monster heel thing - the only problem is thathe has tried to sell moves - and lookes **** - but more importantly - he justdoesnt look the part with his baby face - he just reminds me of a thirteen year old and no matter what he does i cant take him seriously - that spot, as i have said in another thread, should have gone to levitan (sp?) as he has the phisique, the and the the look and thataura that a monster heel needs to really get over - i dont care what jr says on the mike - im not convinced and no amount of protection fron the org or frantic commentary can convince me otherwise

thats a great idea - if some pub had it live - they would make a killing - just imagine the amount of beer they would sell!! - anyone know a pub that would be open to the idea?

It's a good idea but like where would u have it I mean ppl couldn't travel all the way to Dublin or somewhere else. If u got it in countys like in my county a pub in the area and in dublin a hall or something etc.

no one location will suit everybody but a dublic city centre pub (or close to the centre) is the most practical option - sure, i know not every could go but it would mean a lot could and its better than nothing - i would also enjoy watching a ppv live with other fans over a few beers

Lads what you are overlooking is the fact it starts at 1 and finishes at 4 , on a Sunday night:(

ok firstly the commercial rate for the ufc show is 121.98 euro (thoug that is the rate for a single showing) so i would say that it would be the same for a wwe event and pubs will often pick up the cost of the ppv to get the punters in, and even if they didnt - you could get a few dozen in (at least that) and have a whip around with everyone throwing in a couple of euro

secondly - yes its on from 1 am to 4 am but what about the 8pm monday night showing? - that is a suitable time for people plus pubs would be quiet so would presumably be glad of the extra business( even if they may think were all a bit weird)

so theres your two problems solved

well, the whole point is a) not forking out 23 euro when i will end up paying that again (plus some) when it comes out on dvd and b) to enjoy the ppv with other fans over a few pints - if some arnent bothered then fine but i dont get all this negativity towards the idea
