    Power supply , would this thing work in ireland?
    or do i need some bent step down alternater??

    Its an external USB/Firewire Hard Drive enclosure.

    its specs are >>>

    Power Brick (100-240v~ 47-63Hz 0.6A)

    ... Ireland's mains supply is 230v, 50Hz, so it should be fine (assuming you don't wire it up wrong - I assume it doesn't come with an Irish/UK plug?)
