I've a few spare hard drives that I would like to convert into external storage devices (with USB interface). Has anyone had any experience with any products that do this?

I saw an add on the Komplett website, but the product was in my opinion too expensive (€180) sure you could buy an external hard drive for that.

Does anyone know where to buy?

    Dunno,

But they probably wouldn't sell in high volumes and hence would probably be quite expensive.

You could try http://www.usbgear.com/usa/index.cfm, in the US but they're less than half the Komplett price, so even after shipping and duty it'd be a lot cheaper.
