    I haven't owned many pedals

I have had 3 distortion pedals
    A Marshall BluesBreaker, a Guv'nor and a Boss DS-1

The Guv'nor is nice for the old light distortion, but I mainly use the DS-1. Much nicer harmonics.

I do prefer the Jim Dunlop standard Wah. Equalisers can also be pretty damn useful for them solos.

I also like to use a Flanger quite alot. Chorus is also a nice effect to use on clean.

At the moment i use a zoom 606 effects unit and am happy enough with it,
It has a gank load of effects
    Compresser/Limiter
    Wah
11 Drives (oh yes, OD, Dist, Lead, Fuzz....)
    An Equalizer
Noise Reduction (great for my single coils)
An AMP farm thing (not great, some make it sound louder)
    Chorus
    Flanger
    Phase Shift
    Doubling
    Tremolo
    Step
    Cry
    Ring
    Slow Attack
    Pitch Shift
    Delay/Reverb
    and on and on...
All are adjustable + Programable, so you can make your own effects,
But i think i would prefer something i can just grab and adjust with the dials on it, and throw across the room, and not have to go pressing buttons for ages to get what i want.

I can get some weird and funney sounds out of it tho so i'm happy.
