Yes i know how to tune my guitar, so stop laughing.

I tuned my guitar to 'drop d' and then after playing a bit, down one step
I did this as i was curious as to what these sounded like after hearing how loads of ppl used this tuning and what not.

Ok i did it and just thought they sounded completly ****e,
Now maybe i did it wrong or maybe i'm too used to the normal
    E-a-d-g-b-e

I was just wondering do any of you guys use different tunings and/or your opions on them.

    D-A-D-G-A-D & Open G (G-B-D-G-B-D) are cool, open e5 is a bit zaby but cool too (E-B-E-B-B-E

I generally change how my guitar is tuned depending on what songs I play.

I mainly tune my guitar to standard E-A-D-G-B-E, Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb, and "drop D".

But it varies depending on what the Tab book tells me.

    I use:

    Standard
    CGDGAD
    CGDGBD
    Drop D
    DADAAD
    Open D
Hawaiian slack key that I can't remember right now
And I have a guitar constantly tuned to DADGAD.

Most are for only a few songs, but dadgad is the one I use most.

Try playing the G barre or C barre shape in my tuning, JAZZY :)
