Raw Spoiler/Smackdown Rumour

The WWE has been full of shockers this year, and things just keep getting more and more interesting as the 2002 year rolls on. For all of you who missed it tonight, Eric Bischoff appeared on Raw as the new "General Manager" for Raw. Vince spoke at the beginning of Raw about having 2 new General Managers for both Raw and Smackdown and promised the world that it would be a very momentous night of wrestling.

What's even more shocking about Bischoff being the General Manager on Raw is that it was Vince Russo's idea to have McMahon bring Bischoff to the WWE. Russo proposed the idea to the creative team about 1 month ago, when he was hired back by the WWE. The creative team reportedly talked Vince out of having Russo as a writer. This lead to Russo becoming a consultant and leaving the WWE for the NWA/TNA. The idea obviously stuck with McMahon and was put into action tonight.

As for Smackdown, 2 of the rumored GM's are Dusty Rhodes and Stephanie McMahon.

i'd love to see rhodes back as he is one of my alltime favourite wrestlers - the only worrying thing if (and thats if it is him) he ends up performing as often as flair has ended up wrestling - i hac=ve always been a flair fan (well since the mid eighties anyway) and would only like to see both men perform on very special occasions - not every other week

    - p.s. as great a performer/personality as dusty is, dont let him near the book

I personally would love to see Foley back in the swing of things, but *SPOILER ALERT* Shane turned up on Raw last night, could this be a sign of things to come, since his sis is rumoured to be the other manager, dear god I hope she is not, that would spoil everything. Its bad enough she is on the creative team but if she turns up again on my TV screen, well I may jsut have to get very angry again

the one thing about the gm role is that they are on air roles (bischoff has confirmed this in an interview) so beside the initial interest/shock for many of us to see bischoff on wwe screens, i am begining to really wonder about this move - is this yeat another big name from yesteryear thrown in in a desperate attempt to boost rating that are spiraling downwards? - what, mid to long term, do they hope to achieve creatively (and in turn financially) with having bischoff as an on air character? - there is definitely some food for thought here!
